How To: Lace Nails

Hey everyone,

After using my Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in "Laced Up", I've been wanting to create true lace nails. One of my friends in amazing with nail art (the one who showed me the newspaper nails trick), and when I told her my quest she said she's been there done that.  Today I'm going to tell you how to make your own lace nails.  The picture I'm using is not mine, I don't have any lace so I can't take the picture for you.  If I do get lace, then I'll replace the picture.

Materials Needed:
- Thin Pieces of Lace (Any Colour)
- A Base Colour (Any Colour)
- Brush On Nail Glue/ Clear Coat
- Top Coat
- Scissors
- Nail File

1. Cut 10 Pieces of your thin lace, keep in mind the size of you nails.
2. Paint your base colour and let it dry completely.
3. One finger at a time, brush the nail glue on.  Nail glue works the best and is under $10 at your drugstore but if you don't want to buy nail glue then just use a clear coat.  If you want to buy a nail glue my friend uses the 5 Second Brush On Nail Glue.
4. Lay the piece of lace on top of it and let it set.
5. Once it is dry, take your scissors and trim the lace to fit your finger.
6.  Apply your top coat or you can re-apply your nail glue and use is as a top coat to seal the lace and make your nails shiny.
7. Once the glue dries (you'll know because the lace will feel hard) smooth any rugged edges at your tips with a nail file.

That's all you have to do to get gorgeous lace nails that will leave everyone wondering how you even did that.  I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy lace nail tutorial and let me know if you try this or any other nail designs you'd like to see.  Please hit that follow button if you haven't already and let me know what other blog posts you would like!  Thanks for reading!

Outfit Of The Day: July 23, 2011

Hey everyone,

Today I have another OOTD for you guys and I really hope you like it.  Yesterday I went to a barbecue at my cousin's house so this is how I dressed.  It is very nautical looking, in fact people kept calling my sailor but my mom insisted I so an OOTD.  I did not put shoes in the OOTD, but I wore my black Toms.

The Full Outfit
*I look super awks in this picture...
So, this is the full outfit, it is very nautical as I mentioned before.  To break it down, I'm wearing high-waisted white shorts and a tight blue and white striped top.  Pretty simple and easy to achieve yet it looks cute and is really comfortable.

My Shorts
The shorts are high-waisted and white.  The bottom is rolled up a bit and there are 3 buttons along each side.  On the buttons, there's an anchor which I thought was super cute.  I got these at Aritzia and it's from the brand Talula.

My Top
My shirt is form-fitting, blue and white striped and it has a deeper neckline.  It is kind of long but I just ticked it in to my shorts.  I recently got it at Hollister for only $7.

My Earrings

The only accessories I wore were these fake pearl studs.  They came in a set of 3 earrings for the price of $4 at RW & Co.  I just thought it looked really classy and cute paired with the nautical themed outfit.

My Nails
*Ignore the chips
I have been obsessed with this nail polish colour recently.  It's the only Robin's egg blue that suits my skin tone.  I have China Glaze's For Audrey but it just doesn't look good on me and I think this one does.  What is this miraculous colour?  It's Essie's Turquoise & Caicos (named after Turks and Caicos).  It is more green than Tiffany blue though.

So that was my outfit, I hope you all enjoyed this post and still let me know if you would like to see a haul from me!  Please help me get to 100 followers!  Pretty please with a cherry on top?  I'm 5 followers away!

Review and Swatches: Sephora Colorful Artist Palette

Hey everyone,

So today, I went to Buffalo (let me know if you'd like a Collective haul) and this is one of the things I got from Sephora.  I found it in the sale section for $13, I was unsure about purchasing this but I just bought it to test out for my blog and bring it when I'm travelling since it does have a wide variety of colours.

The Outside of the Palette
The outside of the palette is pretty sleek.  The designs aren't anything special but I could care less about the packaging to be honest.  It's a glossy black and it isn't very thick.  It is ideal for travelling.

The Inside Of The Palette
The palette comes with 15 eyeshadows, and a brush.  That means assuming the brush is free, the eyeshadows aren't even a dollar.  The whole inside of the lid is a big mirror.

First Row: L-R; Engagement Ring, Tender Pink,
Hawaiian Beach, Wedding Day, Universal Beige
Engagement ring is a really pretty glitter silver eyeshadow, so in MAC talk, it would be a lustre.  As we all know, lustres are beautiful but the application isn't the best.  When I swatched it the glitter was grainy but it was smooth overall. Tender Pink is a really light pink glitter eyeshadow.  It is so light it kind of looked more nude in the picture although in real life it is pink.  Hawaiian Beach is again a glitter.  I adore this colour.  It is a very pigmented gold-brown.  It would look beautiful on.  Wedding Day is also a glitter.  It's a very light white-silver, it kind of reminds me of Sephora's Aspen Summit.  I am personally a fan of matte eyeshadows so this was kind of sad when I found out Universal Beige was the only matte in the palette.  This is a gorgeous, as the name says, universal beige.  It would be great as an inner highlight.

Second Row: L-R; Disco Fever, Choco Excess,
French Rivera Gold, Caruleen, Burgundy
Disco Fever is a very pretty gunmetal grey.  I wish the NAKED Palette had a colour like this.  It is great for a smokey eye.  It is pretty much the eyeshadow version of China Glaze's Jitterbug.  This is a glitter shadow.  Choco Express is a gorgeous glitter chocolate brown.  This would be such a pretty crease colour for a darker look.  French Rivera Gold is so beautiful.  I was attracted to this yellow-gold glitter eyeshadow.  It is super pigmented and I want to find a way to wear this even though I don't usually wear eyeshadow.  Caruleen is an electric blue metallic shimmer shadow.  I love this colour and it reminds me of a MAC's "Electric Eel" which I always look at in the store.  Burgundy is well burgundy, good job naming this one Sephora.  Burgundy is a glitter too.  In my opinion, it is more on the brown side of burgundy.

Third Row: L-R; Black Flame, Coffee Brown,
Fame and Fortune, Welcome Aboard, Deep Purple
Black Flame is a metallic shimmer.  It is not the most pigmented black but I would not expect it to be.  I thought it was a really dark grey at first sight.  Coffee Brown is also a metallic shimmer, it is a shimmery dark brown that you can find a million of uses for.  Fame and Fortune is actually green, although it appears blue in the picture.  It is a glitter, medium green, absolutely stunning.  Welcome Aboard is a really dark blur glitter eyeshadow.  I absolutely adore this colour, it is one of my favourites.  Deep Purple is exactly as the name says.  It is a really dark purple-brown metallic shimmer.  I would use this as a liner since it is dark but the purple would make my brown eyes pop.

The Brush
Let's be honest here, this brush is terrible.  It isn't soft at all and it just looks and feels so cheap.  I doubt it even applies evenly and well.  I'll keep it for now but I feel like I'll be throwing it out really soon.

The Back
The back had a breakdown of all the colours for you.  It gives you the names, the kind of shadows and the "colour" of the shadow.  It's not that accurate but it's still nice to have.

Now the main question will be answered!  Is it worth it?  If you absolutely HATE glitter eyeshadows then stay away from this palette.  If you don't have a lot of eyeshadows and want a wide variety of colours then pick this up (if you can still find it).  I couldn't find this on the Sephora website anymore unfortunately.  I do wish they had a wider variety of the type of shadows because it was more glitter.  I don't regret buying this and I will use it.  Overall, go get this palette, it is an amazing deal!

Hope you enjoyed this review and please help me get to 100 followers.  On the side of my blog there is my twitter feed, just click on my name and it  will take you to my profile, hit that follow button please!

How To: Make Your Own Lemon Lip Scrub

Hey y'all!

I have mentioned my sister Kaylyn before, lately Kaylyn has been obsessed with lip scrubs.  She told me this lemon one is her favourite so I thought I should share it with you.  The best part about it is that it is all natural and really easy to make.  Plus, the ingredients are not hard to find.  I have heard this lemon lip scrub is popular but it never hurts to share anything right?

Materials Needed:
- 5 tablespoons of sea salt
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 lemon

1. Mix the olive oil and sea salt together.
2. Let the olive oil coat the salt so the lemon won't dissolve.
3. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze over your salt and oil mixture.
4. Mix and mash it all together.
5. Scrub your lips.

That is all you have to do to make your very own lip scrub my sister never keeps her scrub for more than a week and a half and by then, it's usually all used up.  There you have a way to make your cheap and very own lip scrub.  I hope you all enjoyed this and let me know if you try it out.  Personally, I love the taste of lemon and ever since I was 7 I would eat lemons and limes!  Maybe it's just my family because me, my sister, my brother and all my cousins love to eat lemons and limes!

Look For It: Colourful Ends

Hey everyone,

I was on thebeautydepartment.com and I came across a poll about tipping out the ends of your hair.  I personally would probably not to this to my hair although it looks so cute and different.  This is definitely  a love it or hate it trend.  I feel like next summer, you'll see this trend on every girl, maybe towards the end of this summer it might become popular.

So, what do you think about tipping out your hair? Do you love it or hate it?  Would you do it or leave it to the rest of the rebellious girls out there?  I think if it's done right, it will look amazing and cute but if done wrong it might look a bit childish.  This is a great way to incorporate colour into an outfit without trying.  When you're done with this trend you can either re-dye your hair or you can just cut off the ends.

Tag: Would You Rather- Beauty Edition 2011

Hey girls,

So I saw Kacey's or sparkliebarbieXO's YouTube channel.  Basically, you have 2 choices that are beauty related and you have to pick one.  Seems simple enough, remember this is all hypothetical.

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I would rather lose all my palettes and eyeshadows because I don't even wear eyeshadow on a daily basis so I wouldn't be at a huge disadvantage.  Plus, I only have more mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses than palettes and eyeshadows.

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I would rather not be able to cut it again because I like the length my hair is at right now, it's very manageable and I did cut my hair really short and didn't like it.  My hair length right now is easy to maintain and you can do a lot of different styles with it that you couldn't do if your hair was chopped off.

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

I would rather have a pink cheek because that's what I wear more often and it's easier to pull off all year round.

If you had $1000 to spend, Would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

I would rather buy make-up because I'm more hesistant to buy make-up than clothes.  I can't really justify buying $1000 worth of make-up with my own money so if I did have to spend it on clothes or make-up I'd choose make-up.

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

I would rather apply eyeliner as lipstick because lip stick is so thick and it will crease easily.  I know for a fact there are nude and pink eyeliners so I would just fill in my lips.

Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Sephora, I have a dream that all Sephora's will one day be like the Sephora on the Champs D'Eylsees!  That Sephora was HUGE and it had a MAC counter.

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

I would rather only use one eyeshadow colour because once again I don't wear eyeshadow so I'd rather have more of something I actually use.

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

As crazy as it seems I would rather wear summer clothes in the winter because I live in Canada and it's REALLY hot in the summer and REALLY cold in the winter.  Seriously, I'm wearing a tank top and jean cut-offs and I'm about to pass out, what would I do if I was in a parka?  In winter, I don't really go out anyway.

Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I like having dark nails and a lot of bright/pastel colours don't look flattering with my skin tone.  Dark nails just suit me better, what would I do without my black nail polish?

Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

My favourite lip product because it's legit like $6 and my favourite eye product is kind of expensive.

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?

I love messy buns, so I'm going to go with that.  I don't really like my hair in a ponytail (I actually have my hair in a ponytail right now).

Would your rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

I would rather never be able to paint my nails again, assuming they are already painted and the nail polish won't chip.

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?

I would rather shave my eyebrows.  It is one of my pet peeves when I see someone with drawn on eyebrows.  It just does not look natural and it kind of looks scary sometimes.

Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

I think... (what a difficult decision)... I'd rather live without nail polish.  I really hope that never happens though 'cause I kind of like painting my nails.

So that was all the questions in the tag.  I tag all of you to do this but for this tag I wanted to tag people in particular as well.

I tag...
Ashley Brooke
Vinita Jayant (Bold With Bows)
Bereniice (Things Just Happen Just Live, Laugh, Love and Learn)
Arianne Cruz
Ashley (Intro To Beauty)
and YOU!

I hope you enjoyed this tag and don't forget to do it!  Have a nice day/night!

Beauty Wishlist: July 10, 2011

Hey girls,

It's been a few months since I did my last beauty wishlist and I thought it would be a good idea to tell you what I've been wanting and what I got.  From my last Beauty Wishlist I got my feather extension and that's it.  From my first Beauty Wishlist I got my Urban Decay Naked Palette.  For this wishlist I probably won't get anything since this is more fantasy then practicality.

1. Jennifer Zeuner Large Swirly Initial Pendant Necklace

I've wanted this necklace for awhile now.  The pendant is 1 5/8" and a 16" chain.  I would probably get it in "Gold Vermeil".  Even then this necklace is a hefty $264.  I'd probably get a smaller size if I actually do get it.  A lot of celebs have been seen sporting Jennifer Zeuner such as Vanessa Hudgens, Kristin Cavallari, Lauren Conrad, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Whitney Port, Selena Gomez and so many others.  Unfortunately, they only have shops in the US and I don't like the idea of sending a $264 necklace in the mail.

2. Chanel Large Flap Bag

Keep dreaming Tay 'cause even you know you will never get this bag.  I want a classic nude Chanel bag more than ever recently.  I would have to say Chanel is my favourite bag brand.  Their bags are so classy and never go out of style.  However the price of their bags is outrageous.  Maybe one day I'll be able to buy one of these babies but right now the $2300 price tag is a tad bit much.  I kind of want a smaller clutch Chanel bag though.

3. NARS Dolce Vita Lip Gloss

I got a mini version of this lipgloss and Sweet Dreams for $10 at Sephora around Christmas time.  I fell in love with this dusty-rose colour.  I would buy this but the $24 price tag is a lot for a lip gloss.  I bought "Turkish Delight" after hearing how amazing it was but I barely use it so I am scared it might be the same story with Dolce Vita.  Next time I swing by Sephora I'll try to talk myself into buying this baby.  For now, I'll just scrap the last bits of my mini version.

I have been wanting these waterproof eyeliners recently.  I tried my friend's who had the colour "1L- Star Black" and it is so creamy (not as creamy as my Christian Dior Kohl but almost).  The reason I want the Aqua Eyes eyeliners are the fact that they are waterproof.  Once again, not the cheapest product, since these are $18 for an eyeliner.  I almost always buy my eyeliners at the drugstore, so it is hard to convince myself to spend $18 on an eyeliner.

I already have Benetint, Posietint and High Beam (all in the miniature size -- I got it as a trio) so I was over the moon when I heard Benefit released the Cha Cha Tint which was described as a "mango-tinted lip and cheek stain".  From the reviews I read this colour is surprisingly natural-looking and very sheer. I was always hesitant to buy a full size of these since they are big and I don't use them to often so hopefully they'll come out with a set which features this.

6. MAC 179 Brush

I saw this brush and I thought it was so original.  It's an angled split fibre buffer brush.  You probably noticed that it has white hair and dark hair.  That's because it's split: the natural goat hair is supposed to pick up and apply powders for a soft look while the synthetic fibres fuse colour into your skin to make it look polished and glowy.  I would buy this but kabuki type brushes are always over $50 and this one is no exception at $56.50.  I'll just be patient and wait for it to go to a CCO where I can pick it up for $30.

7. Horchow Mirrored Vanity and Vanity Seat

I am redoing my room soon and I really want a mirrored vanity.  Practically every mirrored vanity you see on YouTube is from Pier 1 and in my quest to be different I found this beautiful vanity from Horchow.  I am painting my room Tiffany blue and my furniture is going to be white and silver so a mirrored vanity would fit right in.  Do you like this vanity better or the one from Pier One?

That is all I want right now.  I know these products are insanely expensive which is why I highly doubt I even get one thing from this month.  My question to you is what is on your beauty wishlist currently?  Although mine wasn't really beauty.  I hoped you all enjoyed today's blog post and there is 6 more days to enter my 50 Follower Giveaway.

Taylor, xoxo.

Outfit Of The Day: July 8, 2011

Hey girls,

So tonight I have a barbecue dinner tonight at my friend's house.  She told me to dress formal but still look casual.  I was so confused so she told me to wear a dress or skirt that was casual with some heels.  For some odd reason I thought we were going to have a barbecue pool party... I was way off.  So, I have to go grab some things before the party so I already got ready and this is what I am wearing.

My whole outfit !
So this is my whole outfit.  Not much to it at all, I have a faux-denim high-waisted skirt, a lace top a few accessories and my favourite pair of heels.  My hair is in a high pony-tail, just thought I might mention that.

My Skirt
My skirt is from the brand Mink Pink but I bought it at Aritzia two years ago.  The material looks like denim but it is actually cotton making it very comfortable.  It is a high waisted and has I guess pleating on the top and it comes with a removable bow belt, which I chose to keep.

My Shirt
I decided to wear a white tank top from Garage under since it is see-thorough.  I really like the way the white looks under the creme lace top.  The lace top itself is from Garage as well.  I tucked it in to my high-waisted skirt.  Since the top is form fitting and the the skirt is more flowy it creates a nice contrast and texture.

My Bracelet
This is actually my mom's bracelet but I still wore it.  It's just these giant gem stones in different shades of blue.  My mom bought it from Aeropostale for only $2.  What a steal, right?

My Ring!
My nonna Stella actually gave me this yesterday.  It's a gold ring with a few diamonds on the front.  As you can kind of tell, some of the diamonds actually fell off (3 to be exact).  My nonna actually gave me and my older sister, Kaylyn, lots of her old jewellery.

My Shoes!
This is probably my favourite part of the outfit and I was secretly hoping that I got a chance to wear these on my trip.  I just got them about a month ago from Holt Renfrew.  These are from the brand MICHAEL By Michael Kors.  I got them in the sale section for $99, considering these were over $200 I think that was a good deal.  They are a nice mocha brown and they are just beautiful.  I can't really describe them.

My Nails!
I know same old plain boring nails that I've had for the last 2 or 3 Outfit of The Days.  I have to admit I'm trying to keep them on for a long time so I don't have to paint my nails again.  These are the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips in "Laced Up".  A little tip when apply these: even though it says you don't need it, finish it off with a clear top coat.  Trust me it will  make them last much longer.

My Necklace!
My necklace is in the form of a key.  Unfortunately, you can't really see the detail of the key.  It is very Tiffany-esque although it is not from there.  I think I got it from Garage a year ago.  I also changed the chain.

So that was my Outfit Of The Day or Night.  I want to give a special shout out to Bereniice who manages Things Just Happen Just Live, Laugh, Love and Learn.  She is super sweet and her blog is amazing.  Go follow her please!  Her nail posts are amazing.  Leave a comment on her blog saying "Taylor sent me!".  Thank-you Bereniice for the 10 Best Blogs Award, it means a lot.  Have a wonderful day/night everyone.

Outfit Of The Day: July 7, 2011

Hey everyone,

So today I'm writing an Outfit of The Day and the setting did change since I am in Toronto, Ontario vacationing and I am having so much fun but it is really hot.  Today, I went to lunch with my nonna Stella (Italian grandma Stella).  I haven't seen my nonna since Christmas so it was so fun to see her again.  Me and my sister, Kaylyn, had a great time and we drove over to her house after.  So, this is what I wore to this lunch with my nonna.

My whole Outfit.
As you can see, this outfit is really simple and involves heels!  These heels were actually featured in my Style Alert: Spring/Summer Shoes 2011.  So, enjoy my outfit of the day!

My Top
First off, I have an Abercrombie & Fitch bright blue bandeau which might not be too noticable but this shirt is really sheer and might fall a bit throughout the day.  As for the actual top, it is from Club Monaco.  I cut-off the top from the picture unfortunately.  It has small fold at the top.  It's mostly cotton but the sides as silk, and the pockets which you can't see since I tucked in the top.

Jean Shorts
I'm pretty sure you've seen these shorts before.  I got them at H&M and the stitching is amazing and so different!  They are a bit higher than my average jean shorts which is why they make me think they are high-waisted.  I also love the amount of pockets on these shorts.

Bracelets...
The first bracelet is a green bangle which has green gem stones and small pearls and once is awhile a diamond (all fake), also there is these two little metal-looking balls in between some of the stones.  The next bracelet is a beaded bracelet which is really cute and kind of indescribable.  My last bracelet is this leather bracelet and it actually says my name on it.

Sunglasses!
I am obsessed with my sunglasses, I got them last year and I love them.  My whole family loves Ray-Bans and I am no exception.  I wore my black Wayfarers and the 'P' next to where it says 'Ray Ban' stands for polarized.

My shoes
I work my Fioni cork-heels wedges.  My nonna loved my shoes, she thought they were so cute.  I am a short person so any height helps.  The way the straps wrap around my foot remind me of a halter-top.  The straps are actually gold and they are super comfortable.

My Nails!
My nails are still the same, the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips in "Laced Up".  It's been nice not painting my nails and I know they are horribly chipped!

My Favourite Necklace!
I also wore my much loved Tiffany & Co. necklace I got for my eighth grade confirmation.  I love my necklace and I bought it from Jack Bull in the Bahamas.  So much memories in one tiny necklace.

That was my outfit of the day, I hoped you all liked it and let me know what part of my outfit was your favourite.  Before I go I want to thank Ashley for awarding me the Best Blog Award!  I meant to mention you ages ago but I always forgot, forgive me?  Please go check her blog out, her blog is called Intro To Beauty! Go follow her and leave a comment saying "Tay sent me".  She has a giveaway going on as well, so go check Ashley out, you won't regret it!

Taylor's Favourites: Lip Products Summer 2011

Hey girls,

So it's Summer, with minimal make-up on the only thing that won't really melt off is lip products.  These are my top picks for Summer.  I'm thinking of doing a "Taylor's Favourites: Nail Polishes Summer 2011".  Tell me if you'd be interested in that.  I have been writing way to much unnecessary things lately (just like this) so I'm going to jump right into it.

1. EOS Lip Balm:

Summer Fruit, Sweet Mint, Honeysuckle Honeydew
As boring as it sounds lip balm is important and these are one of the cutest lip balms around.  The bright fun colours make it cute and the spherical shape make them different and easy to find.  Nonetheless, people will think you are rubbing an egg on your lip, trust me.  I have 3 -- look above-- there is a ton of product in each one.  I've had my pink one for months and I'm almost done, it tastes like peaches.  I just started using my blue one, which tastes like mint.  I haven't even started on my green one.  All the Smooth Sphere's are gluten-free, paraban-free, petroleom-free,  phthalate-free, are 95% organic and 100% natural.

2. Kiehl's Lip Balm #1:

The Original One
I love my Kiehl's lip balm.  This is perfect for really dry or chapped lips.  It's a gel consistency and when you need a little extra moisture, reach for this one.  If you are in the Kiehl's network (e-mail list) they occasionally give out free ones, I got mine as a Christmas present from Kiehl's.  Plus, it contains SPF 4, better than nothing I suppose.

3. Nivea Lip Care:

In Strawberry
Nivea is a great brand for lip balms.  The one I have is super moisturizing and tinted unlike the others.  I have the flavour strawberry which tastes amazing and gives a red tint to your lips.  There are many others in the Nivea Lip Care line, ones that include SPF 30 too, which I recommend for summer.  Also, there are different flavours and colours.

4. MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner:

"Close For Comfort"
I love these from MAC.  They have the same vanilla scent that all MAC products have and the colour pay-off is pretty good.  They also last a very long time and come in so different fun colours for the summer.  Also, these have SPF 15 in them making it the perfect summer lip product.  I got mine at a CCO, since it is limited edition from the Warm and Cozy collection.

5.  Korres Lip Butter

Jasmine
I love my Korres Lip Butter in "Jasmine".  It smells amazing and I love the colour plus it's summer moisturizing and light.  These are a little over $10, and are sold at Sephora.  All of them are paraban-free, sulfate-free, petro-chemical-free and GMO-free.  The colour is very sheer but still it is colour.  You can also use these in your cheeks if you wanted to.  It gives your lips a shiny finish.

6. MAC Tendertone:

Pucker
Unfortunately, MAC has discontinued these amazing products but I decided to still include it because you can still find them at CCOs (where I found mine) and I do believe L'Oreal has a dupe called the HIP Jelly Balms, which I can never find.  Anyway these are really glossy and moisturizing.  They smell so good, I kind of think they smell like watermelon but I might be completely wrong.  They contain SPF 12, which is pretty good, no one wants their lips to be burned.

7.  CoverGirl NatureLuxe Gloss Balms:

Tulip, Marble, Coral
A lot of people don't like these but I have to say they are perfect for summer and I am obsessed with these, especially for summer.  They are pretty shimmery, which is kind of a down-fall but they are pretty.  My favourite is the colour "Marble" and "Coral" looks really good paired with a corally-pink gloss.  They are exactly what the name says a gloss balm.  The best of both worlds.  Lip gloss in a lip balm form.  Pretty amazing!

8.  MAC Surf, Baby! LipGlass in "Strange Potion"

I LOVE THIS COLOUR!
This is a limited edition lipglass in the colour "Strange Potion".  It's from the Surf, Baby! collection that came out this summer.  It's a really pretty soft coral pink and it has a slight silver sheen to it.  I love this gloss and I have been reaching for it countless times since I got it.

9. MAC CremesheenGlass in "Richer, Lusher"

B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L
This colour is gorgeous.  It is a true coral peach.  I think if it as NARS' Gina Blush in a lipgloss.  I love cremesheens since they aren't as sticky as a lipglass and still last a long time plus the shine is incredible.  Cremesheens do come with a doe foot applicator, which does not bother me.  The colour is really pigmented so beware.

10. MAC Dazzleglass in "Baby Sparks"

Unfortunately, my camera did not pick up the amazing blue sparkles.
I recently got this in my latest haul and I live it.  I need to get more dazzleglasses.  I love the fact that it has amzing blue sparkles because if you didn't already know, any sort if blue undertone, sparkles or hint of blue will make your teeth appear whiter.  I'm not saying my teeth aren't white, but still it helps.  the sparkles give this gloss a 3-D effect and it's super moisturizing and not sticky.  I think this is great for summer because of the sparkles, since the sun will be hitting your face and make you lips glisten.

11.  E.L.F Hypershine Glosses:

Wild, Perfect Pink
The tubes of these remind me of Stila Lip Glazes, don't they remind you of those too?  Anyway, I got a set of 5-7 hypershine glosses for $10.  I haven't ever owned anything from E.L.F before but I was always interested and I love these 2 colours.  Both are pretty similar, medium pink colours but they are the only 2 I've tried so far and I am impressed.

12.  Benefit's Benetint and Posietint:

Benetint, Posietint
I love these.  They are cheek and lip stains and the colours couldn't be more different.  Benetint is a deeper rosy red colour.  Posietint is a hot pink or poppy colour.  I heard there was another one "Cha Cha Tint", which is described as a mango-tinted stain.   These won't budge which is essential for summer.

So those are my favourite lip products for summer.  I hope you all enjoyed and let me know what your favourite summer lip product is.  Also let me know if lipgloss is waterproof, I always wondered that.  Okay, girls I promise I'll shut up.

Taylor xoxo.
