Outfit Of The Day: Sweet 16 Party! (September 28th, 2012)

He girls!

So yesterday night, one of my friends Sara had her Sweet 16 party!  Since I got a new camera, I came to the conclusion that I should take pictures of what I wore and do an Outfit of the Day!  I actually loved my outfit last night, it was so cute and a lot of people came up to asking where I bought it.  Wow, that sounds very conceited!  Anyways, here is what I wore yesterday night, the pictures aren't that great because I took them at like 2 in the morning, so sorry!

So this is what I wore last night, in wonderful collage form so you can see my whole outfit.  The theme was denim and diamonds so I wore a jean jacket too but since half the party wore jean jackets someone ended up taking mine by mistake.

I wore this light pink coloured lace top from Aritzia.  It's from the brand Talula but since it's completely lace and my skirt was a bit see-through from the back I wore this "underdress" which was all white from H&M.  I also wore a really nice high-low skirt from Brandy Melville.  I am obsessed with that store and they just opened in Toronto!

I wore these 5 1/2 inch heels from Michael by Micheal Kors.  I got these at Holt Renfrew about a year ago or even farther back quite possible.  I wanted to be comfortable in my heels and I've worn these shoes so many times I knew they wouldn't hurt me.

As for jewellery I received that silver necklace that I turned into a bracelet, since the party was "denim and diamonds",  they gave that out for the diamond part of the theme.  The cross bracelet is from of course, Brandy Melville.

My nail polish was a hot coral pink colour from the brand Sparitual in the colour "Miss World".  On my accent finger I put a coat of Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday" which is super fitting for the occasion.

So I hope you liked my OOTD!  Thank you so much for reading my blog, and I need to go study for a million and five tests that I have this week.  Let me know what you think of my outfit in the comments below!  Thank-you once again, and I love you all, xx.

Review: L'Oreal Colour Riche Balm

Hi everyone!

Exciting news, I finally got my camera back!  Well the "4 weeks" soon turned into 10 weeks and they called last week saying they could not fix it, so they gave me a new camera that I love.  I can finally make a fashion post and I am extremely excited so I will try to post more.  Maybe not in the upcoming week as I have a lot of tests and projects but I will soon!  Especially since it's officially Autumn, I have a couple of "Autumn" themed blog posts in mind.

Anyways, I've been talking about the L'Oreal Colour Riche Balms for months and I decided (in the excitement of wanting to take pictures of everything), to write a review on the product!  So without further hesitation, here goes my review!

I made this cute little collage of pictures for you but as I'm looking at it it looks quite small? Perhaps if you click on it the picture will enlarge?  Whatever, I'm moving on!  If you really can't see the quality pictures I took I'll just end up posting them individually.

So the 2 colours out of the 8 shades, I have are "Caramel Comfort" and "Heavenly Berry", the first one is more of a nudish shimmery brown colour and the second is more of well a berry redish-pink colour.  Since these are balms they actually do not give you much colour, it's a very sheer tint and a lot of shine and moisture.  These came out the same time as the Revlon Lip Butters everyone was hyped on a few months back and although I haven't tried the Lip Butters personally, I think that these products have the same concept and I've read many reviews stating that these L'Oreal balms are up to par.

Since I don't like wearing a lot of make-up to school because that involves more effort at the early hour of 6 AM, I tend to go for a very natural look.  I think that these lip balms give a really natural yet shiny look while moisturizing your lips.  These balms are actually very moisturizing.  I bought these after I had the Baby Lips lip balms that made my lips super chapped and these restored them from the damage Baby Lips had done (combined with the force of EOS lip balms of course).

If you're looking for a very sheer and shiny lip product (that smells amazing, and although I do not support eating your lip products, tastes good too), I would recommend these balms for sure.  I am in love with these products and I actually love them more than my CoverGirl NatureLuxe lip shines and I was deeply in love with those up until the L'Oreal Balms entered the picture.  I can't wait to get more of these, and my favourite colour that I own is actually the "Heavenly Berry" (put NARS Dolce Vita on top and it looks so pretty!).  Plus, they are a drugstore brand and relatively cheap!

Thank you so much for reading my review on these lip balms that I've been raving about for months.  I urge you to check them out and try them out as I love them so much!  Let me know if you have any Autumn themed blog posts ideas and I will talk to you all very soon!  You can always catch me on my tumblr: LustFromLove.  I am redoing my blog so bare with me and all the ugliness!  Until next time, xx.

Wishlist: September 2012

Hey girls,

So I started school this week and I've been so busy so I felt you guys deserved a real post instead of a questionnaire since I didn't do last week's since I was at the cottage for Labour Day weekend. So I haven't done a wish list in awhile and this is the perfect time to do one..  I really want to do a "How I Style: Collared Shirts" but I'm still waiting on my camera to be fixed.  This really has not been my blogging year.  Well this intro is just boring and me updating you which I do way too often... I'm also trying to update my blog's look but that might take awhile because I suck with this stuff.  So here's some new things that I want.

I've seen so many shoes like these recently but these Zara ones are the ones I love the most.  I know Steve Madden, TopShop and Sam Edelman all have different variations but I love the Zara ones for some reason.  These shoes are kind of like the new ballet flats.  I'm lusting over these so bad and I want them in my closet so bad!

I love the high-low trend!  I think it's so cute.  I bought this stunning blue high-low dress from Zara, and I am obsessed with it.  I was browsing the TopShop site looking for a high-low skirt and I saw this one.  I think the double tone makes it super casual.  It looks so cool and cute and ugh, I love it so much.  Hopefully my TopShop has it in the store!

I've had really bad under-eye circles recently and I really want to try this.  However, $40 for a concealer is a bit much. It also is a highlighter which is pretty cool. I'm going to do my research on this product and if it does really work miracles as I've heard it does I'll get a sample at Sephora and if I fall madly in love then I'll buy it.  The packaging is gorgeous too, good job YSL...

I've heard so much about this product from beauty gurus on YouTube.  Sephora finally got this bright pink colour in and I'm patiently waiting for it to hit Canadian stores.  I can't wait to try this for it's crazy pigmentation.  Hopefully it will be out before Christmas!

Believe it or not, I don't actually have one of those compacts to take everywhere to touch up.  I feel like I should get one for the connivence factor because I take a bareMinerals powder and a little brush and the powder gets everywhere.  If anyone knows a good compact please let me know!

My friend actually bought this and it makes her waves look amazing, I'll put a picture at the end of this post but her waves look so good.  I get lazy during the week and just let my hair go in waves so I think this product would be great.

So I really want a phone wristlet, I think it's so practical to keep in my school bag or to go to the mall quickly.  I've been shopping around for one and this Kate Spade one is my favourite so far.  If you click on the title you'll see a link and different pictures of it and it looks super cool on the inside.  I think more designers should do this a few of them do but I like this design or Coach's design.

So that is the end of my Wishlist for this month.  Let me know what you are lusting over in the comments below.  Also, give me blog entry ideas since I have no camera I am very limited at the moment so be creative!  Thanks for reading, ilyssssm! Here's the picture of my friend's hair, xx.
