Haul: California & Some Random Stuff - August 21, 2011 - August 29, 2011

It's been a long time since I've actually sat down to write a post although I posted quite a bit while I was on vacation.  I tried something different with my haul today, I actually tried the clothes on.   I hope you all enjoyed and I'm so sorry for doing 2 hauls in a row!

I absolutely LOVE the Goody Spin Pins,  but they are usuaully $6 - $10 for 2-3 pins, what a rip I know. I got mine on sale today at my drugstore for $3, still kind of expensive but I use mine all the time.  I highly recommend these!

At my Shoppers, Annabelle was having a sale on their eyeshadows and their cases, so I picked up the case for $2.99 and all the eyeshadows for $2.99 each.  The top left one is called Gold Digger, the top right one is called Devine Diva, the bottom left one is called Bronzed Idol and the bottom right one is called Vanilla Chilla.  I love Annabelle eyeshadows since they are cheap and comparable to MAC eyeshadows.

I also picked up this GOSH eyeliner in Cool Mint which kind of reminds me of Sephora Nano Eyeliner in Silver Green.  I have the mini version of the Sephora one which I got as a Sephora Birthday Gift last year and I use on my waterline all the time.

I was running low on make up removing wipes so I got my favourite ones which are from MAC.  I got the 45 sheets since my MAC only had those ones instead of the 100 pack.  Just some notice:  MAC will not be receiving any time of make-up wipes for awhile.  They are made in Japan and are unable to get them in stores, so if you need to get your MAC wipes, get them now.

I went to a Coach Outlet last Sunday after my trip to Muskoka and I found this amazingly cute wallet for only $98 plus an additional 30% off.  It's just SO cute.  I absolutely adore this wallet and the colour scheme of it too!  It was well used in Cali, that is for sure.

I forgot to take a picture of this but I also got this at Coach.  It's a large silver sequinned clutch.  Can you imagine this at night while wearing a little black dress and nude heels?  I just had to buy it for $78 plus that extra 30% off!

Jumping into the things I bought at California, I bought these adorable studded bow earrings from Betsey Johnson for $25.  Betsey Johnson's stuff is just so adorable and these earrings are NO exception.  On Betsey Johnson's website they are called the Crystal Bow Stud Earrings.

Call me crazy but I bought a lipstick holder at The Container Store in California.  This holds 24 lipsticks and I love it.  CANADA NEEDS A CONTAINER STORE.  I probably spent a good 2 hours in there in awe and this baby was only $6.99.

I also went to Abercrombie & Fitch and their yoga pants were on sale.  I love Abercrombie's yoga pants for the fit, they are the definition of comfort while still looking really cute!  I got mine in heather grey since I couldn't find any black.

I also went to Aritzia there and the prices are the same in Canada BUT their sale section is amazing!  I got the Wilfred Bustier Tank Top with this weird fruit print of it for $9.99, like $10 for Aritzia clothes THANK YOU!

I also got this dress at Aritzia for $14.99, it's a really cute white bustier top a black stretch band at the waist and a pink bottom with pockets.  It's but the brand Talula.

The last thing I got at Aritzia were these grey TNA shorts.  The original price is $35 but I paid only $7.50 for them and I have never seen TNA for $7.50.

I went to Free People and found this really cute top for $19.95 on the sale rack.  I went to go pay for it when the cashier informed me it's an additional 25% off so my total became around $16.  I love the back crochet detailing.  You can see the difference in quality and plus Free People bags are so CUTE!

I went to Kohl's as well and picked up these LC by Lauren Conrad sunglasses for $9.99.  I was stupid enough to forget mine but I love these oversized glasses.  The whole LC collection is amazing and worth a look at.

Also from the LC by Lauren Conrad line I got the ruffle purple-bleue top from the High Tea collection for $10.20.  I love this top from top to bottom and the price was amazing considering it was $34.

I also picked up this from the LC by Lauren Conrad line and it was originally $34 from the American Beauty collection and came down to $17.  It is so cute and I love the colour.  If you go check out the LC collection have a look at the Blush Hour collection, it is more expensive but really cute.  I'm waiting for the collection to get a bit older so it comes down to 50% off or maybe even 70%.

I went to this cute shop called Pink Stripes and found this dress for $35, the lady at the store gave us an additional 40% off and itv ended up being around $22.  It's a really pretty blue plus it has pockets which I adore.

Do not laugh at me for being a child but I love getting stuffed animals when I go somewhere as a reminder.  Yes, I bought a dolphin pillow pet and he's a boy names Cally for you know California... where he was born.

The last item I actually bought back in my hometown.  It's from H&M and it's the sheer black lace 3/4 length top.  It's so cute and my mom bought a similar one 2 weeks ago from Urban Outfitters for $58.  The H&M one was only $19.95.

So that is it for my haul today, I tried to keep it short and sweet but it's probably took you 30 mintues to read.  I'm gonna lay off posting so many posts in a week and keep it to 2-4 a week.  Hope you all enjoyed and I will write to you soon!

Weekend Haul: August 13-14, 2011 - China Glaze, Forever 21, PINK & More

Hey beauties,

So this is a haul from about 2 weeks back.  I was getting ready to pack for California and Muskoka so I bought a few things.  Here is what I bought and this not a massive haul.  This is yet another pre-written post so I haven't gone to California OR Muskoka yet, so I bet once I get back from California I'll have a new haul up.

OPI San Tan-Tonio

This was on sale for $5, so I decided to pick up this nude-tan shade!  I've heard it was really opaque and nice from Amarixe.  It's from the OPI Texas Collection that was released earlier this year.  Allison (Amarixe) did a blog post wearing this nail polish with Black Shatter on top of it, click HERE to check that out.

China Glaze 108 Degrees

I was at a salon/store and they had a whole bunch of China Glaze polishes!  The most China Glaze's I've ever seen in my life.  I got this colour after I saw missglamorazzi wearing this in one of her videos layered on top of a hot pink.

China Glaze Rose Among Thorns (Neon)

I am on a search for the perfect neon pink polish and I heard China Glaze's Pool Party is THE neon to have but I love the neon I got.  I have to agree that China Glaze has the best neons that I've tried.  I hate the fact that neons dry matte.

China Glaze Custom Kicks

I took a really bad picture of this but it is a really pretty colour.  It's kind of a dusty teal colour with a light green reflex and gold shimmers.  Doesn't it sound cool and interesting? I have this on my toes right now and I love it.

Moccasins

I bought these moccasins for Muskoka to wear around the house.  I bought them at Costa Blanca X for only $25.  They are super comfy and I kind of only want to wear them as slippers, is that weird?  They're in a tan-ish colour, it's kind of hard to explain.

Weekender Tote

I am going to California, as you already know because I mention every five seconds, so I need a tote since American airlines make you pay for each luggage so my family decided to only bring one and a bunch of giant carry-ons and this is mine I got it at PINK for $30.  It's called the Weekender Tote, and I love it!

I got this lace top, it's a plum colour.  This picture is really bad sorry.  It's just a sheer lace top and it would look so cute with a white or black cami underneath.  I also love the fact that it's 3/4 length sleeves!

Lace Yoke Top

This top is an oversized knit top and as you can tell the back is longer than the front  the best part of this shirt is the back.  But I love the v-neck though! The lace is on the back and on the sleeves.  I got it in the colour dusty pink and it was $16.90.  Cute huh?  Sorry for the terrible pictures by the way!

I don't know if you can tell but I adore shirts that have detailing at the back.  This one its that description, it is an oversized 3/4 length shirt with lace coming down the back.  It's in a creme colour and it is a really girly, cute top.

This top might be my favourite I bought on this trip to the mall.  It's an oversized (like more oversized then usual because they didn't have my size so I had to go one size up), loose, flowy t-shirt.  The way it sits on my body is really flattering.  I also love the print on the front.

Leopard Yoke Top

This top is a really cute light top with leopard print on the pack and sleeves.  I'm NOT a big animal print person but when it's on it just looks so cute, and it's really hard to resist.  I'm really happy I got all these things at Forever 21, I NEVER find stuff there.  This shirt was $21.80.
Magazine Holder

This is REALLY random but I thought I would just throw it in there.  It's this light-ish blue magazine holder I got for $12 at Winners for my room, matches with my colour theme as you can tell.

So that is it for my haul I hope you liked what I got and I might have another one coming soon.  I hope you didn't mind my pre-written posts but I truly did want to keep you entertained while I was away.

Taylor, xoxo.

Nail Polish of The Day: Neon Hot Pink Sparkle

Hey beauties,

So today is a quick nail polish post.  I'm sure you will all be so happy to know I figured out a way to upload pictures without iPhoto temporarily.  So this is the nail polish combo I am wearing to Muskoka.  Which I leave for in 3 days, but I'll probably be back by the time you're reading this.

So this is the NOTD, as you can see neon hot pink with shimmer and I put chunky rainbow glitter on an accent finger, my ring finger.  It's pretty basic and I only used 3 polishes, plus a top and base coat.

The nail polishes I used were Rose Among Thorns from China Glaze which is a neon pink, on my accent finger I used Deborah Lippman's Happy Birthday (my FAVE polish) and after I applied 2 coats of Rose Among Thorns I applied 1 coat of 108 Degrees also by China Glaze.

So, that is my NOTD, I haven't done one of these in a long time and let me know if you want more.  By the way, neon polishes dry matte, just a little side note.

Taylor, xoxo.

Tag: Get Your Freak On

Hey beauties,

I thought it would be fun to do a random, get to know me tag since I haven't done one of these in awhile.  This tag was created by the real-life Barbie/Sharpay, CarlyCristman on Youtube.  Keep reading to find out my answers and an idea I have.

Jeff Schroeder, BB11, Amazing Race 16,
Travelling Around The World For Free 2,
BB13, My fave <3

1. What's a nickname only your family calls you?
This is going to sound really weird but Lala.  Now let me explain, they call me Lala because of the yellow teletubbie.  I guess I really liked Lala so I was nicknamed as a kid and it stuck.  Yet, my cousin was the red teletubbie, Poh, and no one calls her Poh today.

2. What's a weird habit of yours?

I obsessively groom my eyebrows, it's weird.  But I want my eyebrows to be perfect yet I have the WORST eyebrows ever.

3. Do you have any weird phobias?

Well, I don't consider this weird but everyone who knows this thinks its really weird but I am terrified of bridges.  It's my biggest fear actually.  When I have to go on bridges I either walk really fast or really slow grabbing someone.

4. What's a song you secretly LOVE to blast & belt out when you're alone?

Right now it's "Tonight, Tonight" by Hot Chelle Rae.  It's just so catchy and it always seems to be stuck in my head.  It's such a cute, fun song!

5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people can't take a joke or act dumb on purpose.  It's an immediate turn-off to me.

6. What's one of your nervous habits?

When I'm nervous I do 2 things, I talk to myself inside my head and try to calm myself down and I bite my lip.

7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?

Well, I sleep on whatever side I want to sleep on, I don't have a designated side.

8. What was your first stuffed animal & it's name?

I don't actually know what my FIRST stuffed animal is but one of my first stuffed animals is this really cute little bear in a red dress and a polka dot (pink and white) bow headband on her head.  I named her Bella Bear like 8 years ago because I forgot her name.

9. What's the drink you ALWAYS order at starbucks?

In the summer I order a Vanilla Bean Frappacino with Whipped Cream and in the morning/winter I order a hot chocolate with 2 shots of hazelnut.

10. What's the beauty rule you preach.. but never ACTUALLY practice?

To use eye primer, but for a GOOD reason.  Most eye primers give my eyes a weird reaction so I stay away and all my paintpots (which are the only ones that don't affect my eyes) are shimmery and I want a matte one.

11. Which way do you face in the shower?

I face away from the shower-head so I can actually open my eyes in the shower.

12. Do you have any 'weird' body 'skills'?

I can bend my left thumb all the way back for it to touch my wrist.  I'm very flexible in general though.

13. What's your favorite 'comfort food'/food thats 'bad' but you love to eat it anyways?

The Mr. Christie Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies.  They just taste SO good and I'm kind of addicted to them.

14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?

It's a Big Brother joke but "What Would Jeff Do?".  All the Big Brother fans will get it.  He's my FAVOURITE Big Brother player.  LOVE HIM!  Team Jeff, Team JeJo, Team Jordan!  ** Yea, Jeff left Big Brother yesterday and I'm pissed, still love him and now I want Rach and Jordo to win <3

15. Time to sleep- what are you ACTUALLY wearing?
In the winter I wear long pant and a 3/4 shirt of t-shirt.  In the summer, girl boxer shorts and any random shirt or tank.

Those are all the questions, I tag all of you to do this and I hoped you enjoyed.  Once again another pre-written post.

Taylor, xoxo.

Outfit Of The Day: August 25, 2011

Hey beauties,

So this post will probably be the last pre-written post and hopefully I put it up on the right day.  If you follow me on twitter you would know that my iPhoto crashed deleting all my pictures.  Well, I managed to find ALL the pictures thank God, but in the meantime I won't be able to import photos until it is fixed which could take awhile.  Well here's my OOTD from the 13 that I'm trying to pass off 10 days later.  Oh, I have a band-aid on my arm because I JUST got a needle from the doctor.

MY OUTFIT -- TAA DAAA!
So this is my complete outfit,  it's just a corset-like top with a bandeau, shorts with a brown belt and long, small bag and gladiator shoes.  It's pretty basic and kind of monotone.  Sorry the quality of the pictures isn't that great today.

My Top
I'm wearing the Wilfred Bardot Bustier Tank in navy blue from Aritzia.  With a grey Wilfred bandeau, also from Aritzia.  My sunglasses are from Ardene, and they are grey, oversized glasses.

My denim, short shorts are from Hollister and I mentioned them in one of my hauls I did awhile back.  The brown belt is from American Eagle.  I just love the look of brown belts with denim shorts.

My bag is the Party Messenger Bag With Fastener from Zara.  It was only $20.  It's so cute and I got it last week.  I got mine in blue.

My shoes are these gladiator-esque white sandals from American Eagle.  I got them in white and they were about $7.

So that was it for my outfit today, did you like my band-aid?  I hope you all enjoyed and had fun reading.  That is it for today!

Taylor, xoxo.

P.S. I'm having a giveaway.  You should enter it.  Click HERE to enter.

Beauty Wishlist: August 21, 2011

Hey beauties,

By the time you read this I'm probably on a plane to California or in California.  Don't let the date fool you, I'm writing this on the 11th.  Anyway, I've been doing these wishslists for awhile and each time, I re-cap on what I got from my last wishlist.  By the way, I'm thinking about doing these every month, let me know if you would like that.  From my last wishlist I got the NARS Dolce Vita Lip Gloss and a mini version of the MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes (but it still counts!).

1. Benefit They're Real! Mascara

I've heard so much about this mascara and I've seen pictures, videos etc. proving to me this mascara will help me with what I like to call "short-eyeslashes syndrome".  I hope I can get this mascara but I never have bought a full size high-end mascara before and the $22 price tag might send me running the opposite way.

2. Sephora Favourites: Beauty & The Bride

Sephora's value sets always catch my eye but this one especially made me think " I WANT THAT NOW!".  I'm not a soon-to-be bride, thank gosh because I'm only 15.  This $50 kit comes with a Josie Maran Argan Oil Colour Stick is Rosy, a Stila eyeshadow in Kitten, Sephora by OPI nail polish in True Romantic, Benefit The POREfessional, Lancome Juicy Tubes in Spring Fling, Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes! Mascara in Black, bareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer, Sephora Collection Flashy Liner Waterproof in Flashy Black, Buxom Big & Healthy Lipstick in Brooklyn, Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens, Flora by Gucci Eau Fraiche, Voucher for a complimentary special occasion makeover at the Sephora in-store beauty studio and a reusable keepsakes box.  All that is valued at $108.

3. Urban Decay 15 Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection

I'm sure you all have already heard about this, seen it, or own it.  This seems to be the new craze and a new must have.  Kind of like the NAKED palette. This new palette comes with 15 never before seen/released eyeshadows and a really pretty box.  I can't spending $55 on a product when I don't even wear eyeshadow.  For now, I'll just stare at the pretty colours and amazing box it comes in.

4. Julep Nail Polishes

I've been eyeing these for awhile now but always forgot to include them in a wishlist post.  Julep's nail polishes just look so pretty and have a huge variety of colours to choose from.  In particular I want the colour Taylor because that's my name.  But all the colours are just so beautiful.  These retail for $14 a polish.  I'm waiting for them to come in stores near me so I don't have to order online.

5. Butter London Nail Polishes

I recently spotted Butter London when I was in Holt Renfrew buying my favourite nail polish Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday, which I did a blog post all about.  I heard about these through MakeupByTiffanyD.  The have so many pretty colours and cute sets.  This line used to be only available in London's airport, Heathrow, but I guessed it spread across the world.

6. Sigma Make Me Classy Brush Set

This brush set comes in 4 colours, coral, purple, black and blue and has 12 brushes.  This kit is $99, when you look at it, it's not that expensive but still a lot.  It's great if you're a beginner and want some brushes but I'm not a beginner and already have LOADS of brushes so I unfortunately can't get it right now.

7. Real Techniques Brushes

Real Techniques is a brush line founded by Sam from Pixiwoo on YouTube.  These brushes are said to be amazing but they aren't sold in Canada yet.  In the US they are sold at Ulta.  I assure you, when they are sold in Canada I will be getting them.

So that is it for my beauty wishlist today.  I hope you enjoyed reading this and let me know what's on your beauty wishlist.

Taylor, xoxo.

P.S. I'm having a giveaway.  You should enter it.  Click HERE to enter.
