NYC HAUL!

Hey all,

So I didn't post recently because for the last week I was in NYC!  It was an amazing last minute trip and I just got back yesterday so here is everything I bought in nyc.  I'm going to just start because I bought a lot.  Originally I was going to edit all the pictures with photoshop (some of them are edited) but there are a lot of pictures  so my next post with fewer pictures will have photoshopped pictures.  Also, I used my cousin's camera for this and I still don't have mine, so enjoy this haul:

I'm going by category instead of store by the way! My apologies for the bad edits, i'm tired ok.

This first catergory is dresses!  I got this dress at Brandy Melville, it was my first time shopping there but I really like it besides the fact that it's one size fits all.  This dress is very "hipster" which is unlike my style but I love the cut outs on the side.

This dress is from the brand Silence + Noise and I bought it at Urban Outfitters.  I actually bought another dress but I'm getting it hemmed at the tailor's it's a bit long.  It's very tribal-esque and I don't know if you could tell but there's little studs on the top part of the dress.

This dress is from Gilly Hicks, which is a store from Sydney, Australia that is run by Abercrombie & Fitch.  It's a really cute casual coral dress and it makes me look 10 times more tan!

I am a huge sucker for union jack motifs.  If you follow my tumblr (I'll link it at the end of the post), you know I want to live in London and I'm going to study there for university.  I got this shirt at Forever 21 and I am in love with it!

This shirt is similar to the union jack shirt as it's the same kind of style.  It's from Brandy Melville which is a very "hipster" style store as you can tell.  These sleeve cut off shirts are however very comfortable and on trend.  This one says "infinite love" and under denim high waisted shorts, it's a simple but cute outfit.

This is way more my style!  It's a plain no sleeve collared shirt.  I'm have so much collared shirts it's getting ridiculous but they are so simple and classy so it's ok that I have like 25 by now.  I wear mine with dark was denim shorts!

I thought this would be a cute shirt when I got to beach or swimming to cover up my bathing suit with. I love the colour and I wish I took a picture of the back but I forgot to!  This is also from Brandy Melville

Back to collared shirts, this one is from Topshop (where I get most of my collared shirts).  I have one very similar to this that I've taken pictures of before.  I love the collar on this one though, it's really unique.

I also got this shirt from Topshop and I absolutely adore the back!  It's a lace strip down the middle and just adds something different to an otherwise plain top.

This is a half top from Topshop as well.  I apologize for the blurry picture (and bad edit).  I would never wear this with shorts but under high waisted skirts and high-low shirts it is really cute.  I am also planning on using this for dance.

Well of course I had to buy an "I <3 NY" hoodie.  I was in nyc for the first time and I would not pass that up!

I bought these really comfy flannel boxer shorts to sleep in from Abercrombie.  I sleep in these in the summer because it gets really hot and I love them!

I also bought a pair of stripped ones that are thinner from Gilly Hicks as well.  Can never have to many boxers!

I have an obsession with running shorts, I have a pair of Norts (Nike shorts) and a few pairs of Lululemons.  They are just comfy to wear around the house and what not.  They also inspire me to work out!

I have seen bracelets like these everywhere.  They are super simple, and tiny but really cute!  I really want more.  My concern is they'll break but I feel like this is only a trend and I don't need to invest in a nice high end bracelet from Bendel's just yet.  But who knows if I really like them I will.

No one knows the excitement I had when I found this!  This is my favourite exfoliator ever and it's discontinues in every store.  I found a bunch of these at Woodbury Common Outlets.  I ended up stocking up on these since they are impossible to find.

I also got these cute Kate Spade earrings.  They are little spades and I just like them when I don't feel like wearing my usual studs.

I also got these really tiny studs.  I actually got my second piercing in nyc I'll insert a picture at the end of this post.  I bought 2 pairs of earrings and the other ones are in my ears and I obviously cannot take them out yet since the hole might close.

When I was in Bendel's I somehow got into getting a free make over from a Christopher Drummond make-up artist.  His products are all natural and organic and my Bobbi Brown concealer is running out so I just bought this one.  Also may I just add one of the two make up artists in my new bff.  He's the best person ever.

I went to Century 21 which is basically a giant discount store that sells high end brands.  I got this really cute Marc Jacobs cross body bag and I love it!  It's smaller than my treasured Rebecca Minkoff so that's good.

My old Tory Burch flip flops are completely work out because I wear them so much so after a year of walking around in them I decided to buy another pair.  The gold and black goes with my Rebecca Minkoff bag and I love the leopard print.

I also got a pair of TB sandals.  I got tanned and gold because it goes with everything and I found them super cute.  I needed a new pair of sandals and I thought these were the cutest.

Lastly I got some boat shoes!  I bought a pair of Sperry's because I find them so cute and once I break them in I hope they're comfortable too!  I got an acid washed blue colour and I can't wait to wear them!

Hey girls,

So the title is obviously inspired by the book 50 Shades of Grey which everyone has read but me.  I'm busy reading other books at the moment.  I saw this tag scrolling through Tumblr and I don't reblog these because my followers hate me and don't ask me any questions so there would be no point so I thought since I have no camera why not do it on my blog.

1. What is you best friend's name?

Well I have a group of best friends so I would feel bad if I didn't name them all.  There's Ale (I'm not putting her full name because it's very uncommon in Canada), Melanie, Sydney, Maria, Bella, Michelle, and Tara.

2. What colour boxers/ underwear are you wearing right now?

Black and blue, that got personal fast!

3. What are you listening to right now?

5. What's the last thing you ate?

Mini chocolate croissants with tea and they were amazing!

Uhm, I really don't know, I guess white because no one really uses the white crayon which means I wouldn't break or anything, am I right or?

I'm not sure currently but today the weather was so ratchet, it kept raining!

Probably my friend Sam, he's from England!

Hair, eyes and smile for sure!

No, I am so single it's sad.

Big Brother for sure, I've been obsessed with it (remember last year when I put a picture of Jeff in my post), but I've recently found a new show and I ended up watching all 3 seasons within 4 days.  It's kind of like the British version of The Hills, and it's called Made in Chelsea.

I have one older brother who's 25.

I'm really short; I'm like 5'2....

Brown, but my highlights are REALLY light now so some of them look blonde.

Update & Tag: What's In My Bag!

Hey girls,

My blog has been lacking a lot this entire year and I feel terrible that I've made empty promises.  It's now Summer and I was supposed to catch up on my posts and my goal was to get one out every week. However, that quickly ended which is partially my fault.  A few weeks ago I went to Puerto Rico for a week, so I couldn't blog while I was there.  My Summer posts won't be very good because well I broke my camera and it won't be ready for at least a month :( !  I'm trying to use my dad's DSLR but I can't take pictures of myself with it unless I ask someone or I take mirror pictures.  I could try to use my MacBook's webcam but the camera quality is not great.  I'm very limited at the moment but I'll try to get my cousin's digital camera.  I hope you all understand my circumstances.  Also, I might be going on a few other trips throughout the Summer.  I'm going to Toronto soon but not to worry I can blog from there like last year.  I was going to do a haul since I got a bunch of stuff in my recent shopping trip but I'm still working on trying to get online pictures for all the items I bough so I thought I would just do a tag and take pictures from my previous blog posts.  Oh and my pictures are probably going to be better because I might be getting photoshop, so fingers crossed.

So this tag is just a standard what's in my bag except these pictures aren't mine, I google them so just bare with me for this post. For the record, I don't keep much in my bag because I complain about it being too heavy all the time. I thought this would be a cute and fun little post too so let's get started!

First off I thought I would show you a picture of my bag, from the website of the designer if course.  But I absolutely adore this bag and bring it everywhere with me.  It was definitely worth the money in my opinion.

This is the Rebecca Minkoff MAC in black with gold hardware.  It is quite pricey but I adore it so much and it fits a lot more than you expect it too!

The first thing is just my Starbucks card.  I recently opened one and it is one of the worst and best decisions of my life.  I love Starbucks so much and the thing is I only order like 4 things off the menu.  I'm not a big drink explorer and whenever I try a new drink at Starbucks I don't end up liking it so I'll stick to what I know.  This card is super handy but the downside is I am always craving Starbucks now and I really want to become a gold card member....

The next thing is my Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.  I love these, but the main reason I wear these as opposed to my new Dior sunglasses is because they are polarized.  The concept of polarization is hard to explain but easy to understand.  It's more of a "you have to see for yourself" type of thing.  But yaa, my sunglasses!

I keep my Travalo which is filled with my Taylor Swift Wonderstruck perfume in my bag but I never really use it because I completely forgot it was in there to be honest.  But that's nice to know I have it now!

Then I have some gum, the one I have currently is Stride Tropical Trance which is like lemon flavoured or something.  Just to be clear, it's a sealed pack and I haven't used it yet I got it at a concert to be fair.  Then I have a punch of random cards that I'm not going to bother finding a picture of like Purdy's ice cream, my Scene card for the movies, random movie tickets, my student ID etc.

Then I have my favourite lip gloss which is NARS Dolce Vita.  It's a really pretty natural lip colour and I love the formulation.  I recommend checking this out.  It's a lovely colour and I've been obsessed with it for about a year now!  

Then I have my MAC Suntints in Full of Grace.  A Suntint is pretty much a liquid tinted lipbalm in a tube.  I love this since it's really sheer and I actually love the taste and smell of MAC products they all have that vanilla essence to them.  I guess I just like my options really.

Then in my little front pocket I have my money and coins and my Sephora Beauty Insider Card and a receipt which isn't very glamourous to me.  But that is all that is in my bag!

Summer Fashion: Part One

Hey guys,

I feel so bad for keeping you waiting for so long.  I realized I'm not going to get any pictures done this week since it's my exam week so I thought I would just post the pictures I took already so you don't have to wait even longer for no reason.  So here are some looks I created for Summer.

OUTFIT ONE:

Top: SugarLips Apparel

Shorts: Aritzia

Bracelets: (Bottom-Top): American Eagle, American Eagle, American Eagle, BCBG

Shoes: H&M

This is actually my favourite outfit so far, it's so cute without trying too hard.  I paired a pair of black high waisted shorts with cute bright coral cutout shoulder top.  I used the coral and black in my bracelets as well to stick with the colour theme.  For shoes I wore some tan moccasin-esque sandals.

 OUTFIT TWO:

Dress: Pink Stripes

Bracelets (B-T): Pandora, Tiffany & Co., Ann Taylor LOFT

Necklace: not sure, standard pearls

Shoes: Tory Burch

In this outfit I paired a cute blue summer dress with my Tory Burch Reva flats.  To emphasize the silver, I stuck to silver jewellery.  To finish off the look I just put on a classic pearl necklace.

 OUTFIT THREE:

Bikini: Boathouse

Top: Forever 21

Shorts: Hollister

Shoes: Tory Burch

This outfit is something I would wear if I was going to the beach or swimming at my friend's house.  I have my favourite electric blue bandeau bikini under a cute flowy lace crop top.  I just kept the look casual with some dark wash shorts and some flips flops from Tory Burch.
