 Obviously if you've read my blog you will probably know some of this stuff about me because I can only come up with so many new facts about myself.

1. I'm obsessed with Alexa Chung

4. I start university in the Autumn term

1. How long have you been blogging and how do you feel about this journey?
I've been blogging since I was 14 so about 3 years even though it was off and on for a year and a half.  The journey's been amazing as it has really helped my writing (I cringe reading my 14-year old self's posts), given me amazing opportunities and has increased my love for writing and fashion especially.

2. How did you choose your blog name?
At the time I was creating my blog, MAC had a collection called Stylishly Yours out and I completely just copied the name.

3. What is the next product on your "to-buy" list?
The Eyeko Liquid Eyeliner (reference back to my first fact about myself)

4. What is one thing you struggled with - blog related?
Definitely finding time and motivation to keep up with posts.  Now I have found a schedule where I post once a week (on Sundays) that way if I haven't already pre-made a post I have the weekend to do so.  Also, creating new ideas for posts is hard.  I can only do so many Style Diaries since 5 out of the 7 days I am in uniform.

5. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
Getting e-mails from some of my followers asking for advice or leaving me nice little messages.  It's amazing knowing you have a platform that has reached out to help at least one person.

6. If you could only wear 5 products on your face, what would they be?
Concealer, eyeliner, mascara, lipbalm, and brow powder

7. What is one makeup product that really disappointed you? 
Probably the NAKED Palette by Urban Decay.  It is a great product, but I do not wear eyeshadow usually unless it's for a huge occasion so I just feel like it was money wasted on something I have used maybe 5 times since purchasing.

8. Do you have any changes you want to make to your blog in the future? If so, which ones?
Definitely, I don't know what type of changes yet but I'm not 100% happy with it right now as I should be.

9. Which type of product do you gravitate towards the most? (lipstick, eyeshadow, blush etc.)
Definitely lipsticks because I wear them the most.  Current obsession with dark red lipsticks, I wear them every chance I get.

10.  What is your current favourite beauty product?
I'm going to go with a Rebel lipstick by MAC.  Absolutely obsessed with it.

11. What is one goal you have for your blog?
Ideally, becoming a fashion blogger would be really cool because I love reading them and the outfits they put together are so cool and unique but realistically I just want people to be satisfied reading my blog and I want to feel like this is something I succeeded in.

Sweater Weather Tag!

Hiii everyone!

So today I have a quick tag post since it is my favourite season Autumn, and it is getting colder I figured I should do this tag before it snows where I live.  Now everyone is obsessed with sweater weather (which I alternatively call Leather weather because let's be real... I have a deep love for leather jackets) so I thought this tag would be appropriate and fun to do.  It also gives me a break to better plan my outfits since I have been getting lazy on the weekends recently (I do have my Halloween costume coming up next week even though its really delayed!!).  I'm just going to shut up and get into the questions.



1. Favorite candle scent?
There's a brand called Fringe and their candle in Rose Cassis is my favourite all year round however I do love Bombay's Jasmine Vanilla and the White Company's Wild Mint.



2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?

Definitely tea, but now that it's red cup season I can't avoid my love for Peppermint Hot Chocolates at Starbucks.




3. What's the best fall memory you have?

I honestly cannot choose one, Autumnal season is always the funniest for me because it's not too cold or too hot so I usually go out every weekend and to choose one memory would just not be right.



4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner? 

DARK LIPS!! I was actually going to make a post about this but I adore dark red lipstick I think it looks amazing on and I recently purchased Dark Side by MAC and I am so in love with it.  I am also quite bias because I cannot evenly wing my eyeliner for the life of me.




5. Best fragrance for fall?

Once again, I do not really change my fragrance according to season mainly because I do not like muskier scents or cinnamon so right now I have been using Daisy Eau So Fraiche by Marc Jacobs.



6. Favourite Thanksgiving food?

Since I'm Canadian Thanksgiving was already in October for me.  My mum hates turkey so for Thanksgiving we usually just have prime rib but honestly I would take prime rib over turkey any day.



7. What is autumn weather like where you live?

It would be fair to say the weather this year is very undecided.  We're getting into the negative degrees lately so it is quite cold but there are weeks where it hits mid 10's.  



8. Most worn sweater?

I have way too many sweaters to choose one but I would say my Wildfox jumper or my black jumper from TopShop which I surprisingly do not think I have ever featured in a blog post.



9. Must-have nail polish this fall?

I love black nail polish for Autumn, the one I use now is by Barry M but this year, since I wear a lot of black clothing I've been loving dark red or burgundies, the one I usually wear is OPI's We'll Always Have Paris.



10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?

Jumping in leaf piles no doubt about it.



11. Skinny jeans or leggings?

If I'm going out black skinny jeans!



12. Combat boots or Uggs?

Honestly, I am guilty of wearing Uggs but I hate them but no my animosity towards how ugly they are will not compromise the comfort I get while wearing them.  However, I live in my Doc Martens so can I be difficult and go with my Docs?  Also I'm currently obsessed with Chelsea boots!




13. Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?

I personally don't like pumpkin flavoured items...



14. Favourite fall TV show?

Awkward, hands down.  I am madly in love with Matty McKibben you have no idea.



15. What song really gets you into the fall spirit?

There's not one song that reminds me of Autumn that I listen to every year but I've been Luv, Don't Hold Me Down by the Drowners for this whole season!

Music Tag!

Hello everyoneee,

 I should be studying for exams (in fact I haven't started) but instead I'm going to do a tag about music I found on Tumblr because I love music so much.  I always have music on and I don't even know it's just perfect.  Also, this would give a good insight into the music I like and the type of concert posts to expect for upcoming posts.  I tried to put a link to youtube for all of the songs

Shopaholic Tag

Hey everyone!

So I found this tag the other day and I thought it would be super fun to do just because whenever I do tags now they aren't as beauty related anymore and just personal so this is a great mix of both!  I hate writing intros because I ramble so much so I'm just going to start answering the questions!



1. Would you consider yourself a shopaholic?
Yes, no, probably, well ya.... I always buy something and there's a mall close by to my school so some days I just go shopping during my lunch break wow I need therapy (retail therapy).

2. How would you classify your style?
My style is all over the place, I look like a hobo anytime I'm not in uniform pretty much.  I have either a really grungy style or an extremely preppy girly side so it's all over the place.  However, I am in uniform for most of the week so....

3. What store can you not leave without buying at least one thing?
TopShop, all the time, it's always such a bad idea to go to TopShop for me because I'll be looking for a birthday gift but end up in having 3 personal shoppers and trying on different types of clothes.  I'm such  a mess.

4. Where do you find the best deals?
Honestly, just going to sales and those coupon things!  There's not one specific store that I always find the best deals, since to be honest, I'm a very impulsive buyer.

5. What designer are you willing to splurge for?
There's not one specific designer I splurge for but in general I splurge on a lot of designer stuff like make-up, handbags (!!), shoes (!!!!!), accessories and sometimes clothing.  However, there are some designers I have more stuff from than others.

6. Do you have a "go to" shopping outfit?
I don't have a go to shopping outfit but I tend to follow a pattern on shopping outfits.  I try to wear something easy to slip off for trying on clothes and comfortable if I'm doing a lot of walking.  Since I can't wearing dresses for most of the year I usually end up wearing jeggings or leggings and a top or oversized sweater with a cute bag and docs or boots.

7. What is your guilty pleasure? (Aside from make up)
ONLINE SHOPPING AND BROWSING!  There's this website called Wanelo and it is the ultimate online shopping website.  It's like a bunch of items and it links you to the store you can purchase them at.  I'll make a separate post with all my favourite online stores in the future since it's become quite an addiction.

8. What is one staple clothing piece you cannot live without?
I recently got this new jacket from Aritzia and I enjoy it quite a lot.  I'm put a picture of it below since I can't explain it but I just really like it.  It's called the Talula Trooper Jacket.


9. What is a trend you hope never goes out of style?
The oversized sweater trend because its so comfy and it's basically what I live in 300% of the time.  And the new flower crown trend because I'm absolutely obsessed with it.

10. What trend did you love that passed way to quickly?
I'm not quite sure, this makes me think a bit.  Probably colour blocking.

11. Who is your fashion icon?
I don't have just one, but all my fashion icons have very different styles.  Alexa Chung just because I love her, Lauren Conrad, Atlantic-Pacific, Leighton Meester, Whitney Port and just in general I get a lot of inspiration off Tumblr.

50 Facts About Me

So while I'm out of the country and busy packing, I figured I would do a fun and easy tag called 50 Facts About Me..... although I'm not a very interesting person I hope you enjoy reading this and maybe you'll find out way more than you wanted to know about me.  While I am in London and Paris I will try my best to do OOTD/ OOTN for my blog and take fantastic pictures for a post about my trip.  So here we go: 50 facts about Emily....

1. I have family in an island called Rodrigues and Prince William was visiting and felt sick so he stopped by my aunt's house to use the washroom so now I'm family-friends with the Windsor's??

2. My favourite city that I've been to is London and I hope I get the chance to live there one day.

3. When I was six years old I broke my arm trying to walk up by backyard slide - I fell off and it fell on me.

4.  I fainted on Saturday getting my snug piercing done, I'm ok don't worry.

5.  I am a gold card member at Starbucks and I made it my mission in the Summer to get a gold card so Louis Tomlinson will love me.

6.  (.... I have no more interesting facts)  I quit dance this year and now there's a hole in the middle of my heart like a polo.

5.  Embarrassingly enough, I live in my Zayn Malik Onesie.

6.  I have this deeply routed obsession with models that has been growing over the last year like crazy.  I guess it's my deep desire to become a model.

7.  Made in Chelsea is one of my favourite shows to ever exist.

8.  I have a massive perfume collection because I never finish any of my perfumes I literally have perfumes that I used since I was a baby.

9. I love making mixtapes.  This makes me sound incredibly indie.

10.  My feet fall asleep all the time and it gets really annoying because pins and needles are the worst.

11.  I am that friend that takes 3 hours to respond to a text message and I hate myself for it.

12.  I love exercise but I'm never motivated enough to do it.

13.  Soap & Glory's Hand Food has been a drug to me the past few days (I'm not doing drugs it's a hand cream I apply much too often).

14.  Indie music is my favourite music.

15.  I haven't properly styled my hair since the new year so it would be healthy for my Paris and London trip.

16.  I would love to make YouTube videos but I'm so insecure and nervous.

17.  I can get really bad anxiety when I get super nervous - hence fainting at the piercers which was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life.

18.  I do ballet warmups while brushing my teeth and I have ever since I started.

19.  I'm fluent in French I guess

20.  My mom's from Mauritius and my dad's from Madagascar but I was born in Canada.

21.  I have an older brother and we're 9 and a half years apart and he has his first kid already.

22.  I have an extreme case of wanderlust like that is the only thing I really want to do with my life.

23.  There's not a single person in my life I tell everything to.

24. You have not lived until you get an Aroma Hot Chocolate.

25.  I have mild insomnia but I'm not allowed to take any medication for it.

26.  I've never felt the need to be skinny until I stopped dance in my studio this year and felt the need to work out constantly and monitor my eating.

27.  My parents taught me British English when I was younger since that's what they learned in school and now I get super confused with which word to use for the same thing.

28.  I'm addicted to tea.  I'll just talk about tea.

29.  My favourite tea from David's Tea is Orange Pekoe with agave and 2% milk.

30.  I drink tea at least twice a day everyday.

31.  Bath tubs are heaven.

32.  I really want a polaroid camera.

33.  I desperately want a cat or bunny or puppy but currently I'm in favour of the bunny.

34.  I really love going to concerts.

35.  I was an extremely chubby baby.

36.  I cut my hair super short in grade 7 and I will never go short again.

37.  I hate wearing my glasses in public and I never do unless I have to.

38.  I lose chapsticks like it's my job I am currently missing 3 EOS lipbalms.

39.  9 is my favourite number ever since I played soccer in grade 1 and chose 9 as my number.

40.  I suck at soccer but I love watching the games.

41.  I'm an MUFC supporter.

42.  I have this huge fascination with the Olympics more specifically the London olympics.

43.  It is pretty easy to impress me.

44.  Soccer players are just really hot in general.

45.  I've been collecting precious moments since I was 1.

46.  I really love candles.

47.  I say I'm allergic to cheese just so I can avoid eating it or being questioned about my deep hatred for it.

48.  I love getting manicures and pedicures

49.  I can't say the word Massachusetts (or spell it)

50.   My dream would be to do something in the fashion industry or be an entertainment broadcast journalist but I'll probably go to school and become a lawyer

So another Friday has already come and I'm ready to write my Friday questionnaire, even though it's only 5:45pm currently, I am so tired.  School's really taken a lot of energy out of me!

1.) Mood:
Like I said, I'm really tired and stressed out right now!

2.) What are you looking forward to most today?
Sleeping, this week has been so long, actually this day has just dragged on for way to long.

3.) Someone is bringing you breakfast in bed, what is on the perfect tray?
Bacon, eggs, crepes, waffles, and obviously tea!


4.) Current nail polish:
OPI's Royal Flush Blush!

5.) Where do you keep your handbag when you are home?
Hanging on my chair usually...

6.) Current outfit: 
Blue t-shirt from Pink and TNA grey sweat shorts

7.) If you could try on any celeb's hairstyle for a day, whose would you choose?
Lauren Conrad or Nina Dobrev!


8.) Do you sleep with your bedroom door open or closed?
Open!

9.) What is the last beauty product you finished?
A MAC MSF Natural powder probably, but that was ages ago...

10.) Weekly goals:
Get plenty of sleep and study for my upcoming tests!

Friday Questionnaire: August 24, 2012

Hey loves,

So a lot of my older followers probably remember how I used to do Amarixe's  Monday Questionnaires until she stopped posting them.  Recently she began posting them again but I haven't been on as much to do them on Mondays so I thought I would do them on Fridays instead now.  So every time she does a Monday Questionnaire I will answer the questions on the Friday.

1.) Mood:
Is it weird not to know your mood?  I'm kind of whatever right now if that's even a mood.

2.) What was your favorite board game as a kid?
I'm going to go with the classic Monopoly.  It's one of the first game's I've ever played, my family's really more into card games like Wolf, Mille Bourne or President.


3.) Do you like your current hairstyle/color?
I have my hair wavy right now, I put it in a braid last night while it was wet and sprayed some Aussie Sprunch in it to hold the waves and define them.  My colour is still brunette with highlights.

4.) Current nail polish:
Sally Hansen's Pacific Blue, no surprise there.


5.) When is the last time you went to a theme park?
Last year, there's a really famous theme park close by to my house but I didn't buy a pass this year because a lot of my friends have jobs right now.

6.) Current outfit:
Sports bra and flannel pyjama shorts aka my Summer pyjamas.... I was always in my pyjamas while doing these questionnaires for some reason.

7.) You're at a movie theatre... what snack do you get?
Popcorn or twizzlers!

8.) What is one makeup tip you wish you knew 2 years ago?
I wasn't that into make-up 2 years ago, I wore it once in a blue moon so I don't really know, interesting question though.

9.) What is a really classic/popular movie you have never seen?
There is a list: Titanic (never watched it until the end), the Notebook, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Sixteen Candles, Casablanca, the Godfather, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Jaws etc.... pretty much any classic movie I haven't seen.

10.) Weekly goals:
I don't really have any goals besides to enjoy the rest of my summer.

Tag: 50 Shades of Me

Hey girls,

So the title is obviously inspired by the book 50 Shades of Grey which everyone has read but me.  I'm busy reading other books at the moment.  I saw this tag scrolling through Tumblr and I don't reblog these because my followers hate me and don't ask me any questions so there would be no point so I thought since I have no camera why not do it on my blog.

1. What is you best friend's name?
Well I have a group of best friends so I would feel bad if I didn't name them all.  There's Ale (I'm not putting her full name because it's very uncommon in Canada), Melanie, Sydney, Maria, Bella, Michelle, and Tara.

2. What colour boxers/ underwear are you wearing right now?
Black and blue, that got personal fast!

3. What are you listening to right now?
Thinking of Me - Olly Murs (click the title to listen to the song - it's great)


4. What's your favourite number?
9!

5. What's the last thing you ate?
Mini chocolate croissants with tea and they were amazing!

6. If you were a crayon what colour would you be?
Uhm, I really don't know, I guess white because no one really uses the white crayon which means I wouldn't break or anything, am I right or?

7. How is the weather right now?
I'm not sure currently but today the weather was so ratchet, it kept raining!

8. Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
Probably my friend Sam, he's from England!

         9. The first thing you notice about the opposite sex?
Hair, eyes and smile for sure!

         10. Do you have a significant other?
No, I am so single it's sad.

         11. Favorite TV show?
Big Brother for sure, I've been obsessed with it (remember last year when I put a picture of Jeff in my post), but I've recently found a new show and I ended up watching all 3 seasons within 4 days.  It's kind of like the British version of The Hills, and it's called Made in Chelsea.
         
12. Siblings?
I have one older brother who's 25.

         13. Height?
I'm really short; I'm like 5'2....

         14. Hair color?
Brown, but my highlights are REALLY light now so some of them look blonde.

         15. Eye Color?
Brown too....

         16. Do you wear contacts?
Yea, and it's annoying as heck.

         17. Favorite Holiday?
Probably Christmas season because then I can include New Year's Eve.

         18. Month?
December - my birthday, Christmas, New Year's Eve, simple.

         19. Have you ever cried for no reason?
Yea, same with laughing

         20. What was the last movie you watched?
Killers, it was on TV today.


         21. Favorite Day of the Year?
Uhm, not sure.

         22. Are you too shy to ask someone out?
Yayayaya, and I'm old fashioned and want a guy to ask me out.  Stay tuned to how to be an ugly person with incredibly high standards with your host me.

         23. Can you do a headstand (not using the wall)?
Yes, not as hard as you think.

Depends from who :)

         25. Chocolate or Vanilla?
Vanilla, but if it's ice cream I prefer twist, is that cheating?

Ya and by friends I mean everyone reading this.

         27. Who is most likely to respond to a text from you?
My friend Ale, she always does even if it's a smiley face.

         28. Who is least likely to respond to a text from you?
Sam - the English guy, he never answers me.

         29. What books are you reading?
The Fame Game - Lauren Conrad then after, the newest Pretty Little Liars book.


         30. Piercings?
I only have my ears pierced, but I'm getting my second piercing soon and I'm so excited!

         31. Favorite movies?
There's so many: She's the Man, 21 Jump Street, White Chicks, John Tucker Must Die, Step Up, Centre Stage, Grease, The Last Song, The Hunger Games there's so much more though

         32. Favorite football Team?
Can we pretend this means football as in English football which is soccer.... my favourite team is Manchester United!


         33. What are you doing right now?
Listening to music, on Tumblr, texting, tweeting, and doing this!

         34. Butter, Plain or Salted popcorn?
Plain!

         37. Dogs or cats?
100% dogs!

         38. Favorite flower?
I don't really know, I'm not good with flowers.

         39. Been caught doing something you weren't supposed to do?
Yes, all the time.

         40. Do you have a best friend of the opposite sex?
Ya, I guess Sam is one of my bffz 4 lyfe, but then there's also Mateo, Ronald, and Daniel etc.

         41. Have you ever loved someone?
Yaa, my parents as boyfriend wise I don't think so, I'm 16 give me a break.

         42. Who would you like to see right now?
My dad, he's at the airport and he's coming home since his flight was cancelled but he's pretty much going to gone for the month!

         43. Are you still friends with people from kindergarten?
Nope, I moved schools in kindergarten.

         44. Have you ever fired a gun?
A Nerf gun, laser tag gun, bb gun and watergun not an actual gun.

         45. Do you like to travel by plane?
I actually love planes!

         46. Right-handed or Left-handed?
I'm a righty!

         47. How many pillows do you sleep with?
3, sometimes 4.

         48. Are you missing someone?
My padre :(

         49. Do you have a tattoo?
No but I kind of want one, maybe, idk, i'm indecisive.

Nope, I'm good.
