The Neighbourhood Concert - March 22nd, 2014

Hiiiii,

So a few weeks ago I went to the Neighbourhood's concert!  Oddly enough, this was my third time seeing them live but their first headlining show where I live.  I was super sick but I honestly went because I've been dying to get the Neighbourhood hoodie and I missed out the first two times (I did end up getting one this time).

My concert outfit | Top: Aritizia (old) // Flannel: Tommy Hilfiger (old & my dad's) // Jeans: American Apparel // Shoes: Steve Madden (old)

I was actually kind of late to the concert so I missed the opening acts.  I ended up being pretty close to the front considering I got there pretty late.  The Neighbourhood was amazing live, as always however, it did suck a lot that the concert ended at 10:15 especially when they have a full album, a few EPs and a new album coming out they could have filled up the time.  The crowd was mainly teenage girls so there was a lot of pushing.  I did have a good time, despite being super sick.  Below is a video of the Neighbourhood's most popular song "Sweater Weather" performed at my concert.  If you like their sound, I would check out the songs A Little Death, Lurk, Let it Go and their new song for the new Spiderman movie, Honest.

Thank you so much for reading this post.  Be sure to leave comments below about what you think of the Neighbourhood.  I love you all, you mean the world to me.  Have an amazing week, until next time xx.

What's in My Travel Make-Up Bag? | March 2014

Hi everyone,

Since I am going away I figured I would just multi-task packing while telling you guys what beauty products I am bringing on vacation.  Keep in mind this is a tropical vacation so I don't plan on wearing a lot of make-up there but I am bringing some products for dinners and more dresses up stuff.  If this uploads on the day it's supposed to I am currently in Cuba having a fabulous time.  I come home next Sunday, so if I don't know if I'm going to be able to write a blog post on time next week so please bare with me.  Hopefully, I can write a Cuba post eventually since I treat my blog as a little diary and maybe take some Style Diaries.  So I'm going to shut up and just get to the make-up I am bringing to Cuba...

So that is more or less all the make-up I'm bringing to Cuba.  I hope you all have a great week (or 2 weeks depending if I can make a post) and thank you so much for reading.  Feel free to leave a comment on your travel essentials as I am always open to suggestions.  So this is actually a week late, my resort didn't have internet so I could not upload last week.  Thanks for putting up with me though.  Love you all xx

How I Edit My Instagram Pictures

Hey everyone,

So today's post is a bit different.  I got an email from one of my lovely followers asking how I do collages and what apps I use for my Instagram pictures that I've featured on my blog and on my Tumblr.  I have to say that on my actual personal Instagram, I edit pictures much better than the pictures I feature of here or on my Tumblr just because that's more for style rather than purpose.

The ones I use the most are VSCOcam which is a free app.  I really like their filters and usually use F2 on my pictures, especially recently.

My second most used app is Afterlight.  I believe this app is .99 cents but I use it to edit the brightness, exposure, contrast etc. for my pictures and I also use it to get the white (or any colour) backgrounds.  I used to use the filters on this app a lot but not so much anymore however, it is one of my favourite apps.

PicStitch is one of my favourite and most useful apps.  I use it to create "Kylie Jenner" style Instagram pictures if I want to have more than one picture in a photo.  It all depends on what format you use and how you adjust it.

I use TwinCollage mostly on my personal instagram when I want to pictures beside each other or on top of one another.

Lastly, I use Reflexion obviously for pictures that I want reflected.  The other apps I don't use anymore but they're still on my phone.

So those are the apps I use to edit my Instagram pictures.  I hope you all enjoyed this post and found it helpful.  Thank you so much for reading and next week I'm in Cuba so I am not sure if I will have time to make a post.  I'll write one and see if I get the chance to publish it while I'm there.  I love you all, have a good week loves x

Haul: Triangl Swimwear

Hi everyone,

So this post is going to be a mini review/haul since I haven't actually used the product yet but I was too excited not to talk about it.

I don't think I actually mentioned this, but I'm going to Cuba for March Break so I have been stocking up on bikinis, including a huge Victoria's Secret online splurge.  However, a few weeks ago I finally caved and managed to splurge on an order from Traingl Swimwear.

Triangl Swimwear is a company based in Australia famous for their simplistic and high quality neoprene bikinis.  Tumblr is absolutely loaded with images of these bikinis for their vibrant colours and beautiful yet simple style.  Although the bikinis are usually $80 for the set, with customs, taxes and shipping the bikinis, depending where you live average around $120.

So I actually combined my order with my friend so we wouldn't have to pay double the shipping price.  The bikini I got was the Chloe Bikini in Santa Rose Splash.

I am absolutely obsessed, it was packaged really nice and comes with a case for the bikini to ensure it doesn't fold since it's in the care instructions to not allow the bikini to fold or crease.  In order to figure out my size for the bikini, I used the online chat on Triangl and the fit was perfect.  I am so in love with this bikini.  Since the fabric is neoprene padding isn't needing so you do not have to worry about your nips peeking through the material.

My friend got the Ollie bikini in Twiggy Stardust and it feels like leather.  All the bikinis are really well made and you can fall in love by touching them.  As you can tell the style differs from the Chloe to the Ollie but if shipping wasn't so expensive I would buy more right away.  If you can afford the hefty shipping price a bikini from Traingl Swimwear would for sure look bomb.
